Lord, whatever you are doing in this season, I am grateful that you are not doing it without me!
In this season of harvest and thanksgiving, it is so easy for us to get side tracked by the things that are going on around us. It is easy for us to give up and throw up our hands. I say this, because this is how I felt as I slowly crawled out of bed this morning. I allowed the things that needed to happen today overwhelm me, even before I could chat with my Lord. I just wanted to crawl back into bed as if that was going to make things better. But, as I dug into my morning routine of seeking God, He reminded me that He was still in control. He led me to Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
My take away from this morning was not to let confusion, frustration, doubt, unbelief, or anything else, that is not of God, have one second of my precious time. The Lord has blessed me and He offers me new mercies EVERY day. I will not be defeated because I have already won.
